Three games in three nights? No problem.

The Ice Muskies (9-6-2) won three games in a 48 hour span this past weekend, capping off the stretch with a 6-5 shootout win Sunday over the Battle Creek Revolution at Oregon Community Sports Arena.

Madison traveled to Detroit for a two-game series Friday and Saturday night, winning the first contest 5-4 before taking the second 6-2.

Sunday, the Ice Muskies trailed 5-3 heading into the final period. They tallied two power play goals in the final 20 minutes before winning in the shootout on a goal by Mitch Kerns.

Kerns finished the game with a hat trick.

The Ice Muskies will host Battle Creek again Friday night at Oregon Community Sports Arena. It is the last of four games played in Oregon, Wis. this season. The puck drops at 8 p.m. CT.

The Madison Ice Muskies (6-6-2) head to Detroit tonight for a two-game series against the Hitmen (0-10-2) before hosting the Battle Creek Revolution (7-4-1) Sunday at Oregon Community Sports Arena.

Fans come out to Hartmeyer's Day At The Rink on Nov. 28 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The Ice Muskies will hold an open practice to the public during the event. There will be open skate which you can skate with the players and autograph session will take place as well.

OREGON, Wis. -- As they've done so many times at home this season, the Madison Ice Muskies put together another come-from-behind victory to complete a weekend sweep of the Evansville Icemen with 3-2 shootout victory Sunday at Oregon Community Sports Arena.

Madison native Andy Cripps scored the game-winning goal in the fifth round of the shootout on a nifty forehand-to-backhand move that fooled Evansville goaltender Shane Davis, who made 40 saves on the night.

The Ice Muskies (6-5-2) fell behind 2-0 in the second period when Steve Koich took a pass from Justin Neis and netted a goal at the 13:31 mark. Unfortunately for the Icemen (4-4-2), Madison is used to playing from behind.

Just 1:15 later, defenseman Rich Jondo scored an unassisted goal from the right point that cut the deficit to one. Then in the third period, after goaltender Nick Niedert kept the Ice Muskies in it with numerous big saves, forward John Esposito tied the game 2-2 with 7:40 left in the game.

Evansville had a golden opportunity to win in overtime, when Rich Jondo was sent to the penalty box, giving the Icemen a 4-3 advantage. But the Ice Muskies successfully killed off the penalty and forced a shootout.

Both Icemen forward Ryan Ford and Ice Muskies forward Mitch Kerns scored in the first round of the shootout, but both teams missed in the next three rounds before Cripps won it in the fifth.

The Ice Muskies are now alone in third place in the AAHL standings with 14 points. The Chi-town Shooters (9-2-0) are in first place with 18 points and the Chicago Blaze (8-3-0) are in second with 16 points. Battle Creek (6-4-1, 13 points), Evansville (12 points) and Detroit (0-9-1, 1 point) sit behind Madison in the standings.

The Ice Muskies take on the first place Shooters at home Friday night at Hartmeyer Ice Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. CT.

Behind 41 saves by Nick Niedert, the Ice Muskies (5-5-2) shutout the Evansville Icemen (4-4-1) 4-0 Saturday night at Hartmeyer Ice Arena.

Madison jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first five minutes behind goals from Mitch Kerns and Mike Thomson. Brad Johnston added a goal in the second period and Cameron Sault scored the capper later in the second when Niedert started a fast break that left Sault with a 1-on-1 oppotunity with the Icemen goaltender.

It was the second shutout of the season for Niedert, with both of them coming against the Icemen at home.

The Ice Muskies will go for the sweep over Evansville Sunday at Oregon Community Sports Arena. The puck drops at 5 p.m.
